Are you someone who waits until the last minute to start gift shopping, only to find the pickings pretty slim? Do you wonder what to take as a “hostess” gift when invited to a party – knowing they love wine, but you are not sure what kind? Do you want a little something extra as a “stocking stuffer”? How about something you can share with others? Or, something extra for that year-end bonus for your employees?
The answer to all these gift-giving questions is: tickets to the 15th annual Boston Wine Expo: Saturday, January 28 & Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Seaport Hotel and Trade Center. They are small, reasonably priced and if you give a pair or a four-pack, you may get invited yourself!
“We receive numerous orders from folks who offer Wine Expo tickets as holiday gifts,” states Dave Fazo, Show Director. “We even provide special gift envelopes to make the experience that much more enjoyable,” he added.
The largest consumer wine event in the country, the Boston Wine Expo offers wine enthusiasts an unparalleled educational and entertaining wine and food experience. The Grand Tasting showcases over 440 international and domestic wineries from 13 countries pouring over 1,800 different wines.
Special features include an exclusive Grand Cru Wine Lounge; seminars for all levels of wine-lovers, led by world-renowned wine experts such as Mark Oldman and Mark Schuster; celebrity chef demonstrations featuring Todd English.
Ticket prices for the Grand Tasting are as follows: Saturday Single Day, $70 prior to January 20th and $85 after January 20th and for a Sunday Single Day, $60 prior to January 20th and $70 after January 20th. Two-day tickets are $95 prior to January 20th and $105 after January 20th. A $2.50 administrative fee is added to all Grand Tasting tickets ordered in advance. Seminar prices vary. You do not have to purchase a Grand Tasting ticket in order to purchase a seminar ticket. Grand Cru Wine Lounge ticket prices are $125 each.
The Boston Wine Expo is held in conjunction with the 21st annual Anthony Spinazzola Foundation Gala Festival of Food and Wine, which takes place at the Seaport World Trade Center on Friday evening, January 27, 2006.
Boston Wine Expo sponsors include: Beverage Magazine, Cigar Aficionado, Intermezzo Magazine, JetBlue Airways, The Boston Globe, Viking and Wine Spectator.
