Silly Shakes

Next time you're in PortPicture_027_6land, Maine, stop by Silly's restaurant for a milkshake. Silly's is a little off the beaten path (40 Washington Ave.), but the shakes are well worth the journey. They're rich, creamy and the perfect consistency. You can combine 3+ flavors in your milkshake, such as applesauce, banana, honey, marshmallow krispies, Tang, and more. We went with plain old chocolate, but maybe next time we'll be more adventurous. Silly's also offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, including salads, burgers, abdullah wraps, and pizza. While we can only speak for the milshakes, there are certainly a range of unique dishes on the menu that intrigue us. And don't leave the neighborhood without visiting Earth & Soul pottery next door. The talented artist & proprietor (our good friend Rachelle's daughter, Sarah) sells many beautiful pieces - from bird baths to water goblets to olive dishes. She also teaches classes if you're up for creating your own masterpiece!
