Our experience with 111 Chop House in Worcester started positively before we even set foot in the restaurant. Eager to try one of the most talked about dining establishments in Worcester, Thadd visited the web site in advance to review the menu and make his wine selection. He found the site easy to navigate and comprehensive in its menu listings and chef profiles.
We decided to check out the restaurant on a Friday evening in the summer with Alice's parents. When we arrived, the atmosphere was upbeat and lively, albeit a little noisy. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long for our table. Unable to choose from the long list of delicious-sounding entrees, we ordered two each of the stuffed beef tenderloin and the trio of petit filet mignon. We also got an MC Hwang Roll as an appetizer for the table and were pleasantly surprised to learn that our meals also came with an iceberg wedge salad. Even though it might seem strange to have a sushi roll in a steak house, the MC Hwang Roll was tasty with fresh asparagus, steamed shrimp, smoked salmon, avocado drizzle, and more. Alice's parents loved the plentiful heap of Stilton on their iceberg wedge, while we enjoyed our salad with chopped tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette.
It should come as no surprise that 111 Chop cooks a fine steak. The Oscar filet with roasted asparagus was the clear winner, while the bone-in pepper crusted filet was a little too peppery for our taste. The wild mushroom stuffing created a unique and interesting twist on traditional beef tenderloin. 111 Chop House has an outstanding, reasonably priced wine list, and one of the highlights of the meal was the Renwood "Old Vines" Amador 2003 Zinfandel. It drank smoothly and complemented the meat well.
Overall, we enjoyed our first trip to 111 Chop House. We're always up for different experiences - and it was fun to get out of Boston for a night and try a Worcester hot spot!

I love to eat at 111 Chophouse. Everything from menu is delicious here. The food combination is always surprising and stunning and the prices are worth. I recommend The 111 if you are looking for a special night out.
